Relay Pump Operations: Who Says It's Just for the Long Lay?

Paul Shapiro

The pump operations in this article were stand alone operations in that the goal was to get as much water to a single pumper as possible because the fireground conditions required it. There is no other reason. Most departments using LDH would probably not think of using a relay for the short supply lines we used for our flow tests. Well as you can see it can make a difference.
