The tattoo is from a 50’s pinup by Gil Elvgren. The artist and I took the original artwork and photos of my wife and combined the 2. I also added my radio ID to my helmet that I had as a captain.
I got the Tattoo when I turned 40 when all of my friends and kids were getting art. I wanted something more light hearted and fun that also tied into the 20 years in the fire service. And what could be more light-hearted than a pin-up on a fire pole?
