Tom Kenney is a 29-year veteran and Fire Captain with the Providence Fire Department. His book, "Working Class Hero: Memoirs of a Providence Fireman", Publish America, is the first book written by a providence firefighter in over 100 years. It is a collection of stories gathered during a 29-year career. Tom is a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) survivor and an active advocate for fire department minimum staffing standards.
