Posted 6 months ago Help me get into this field! What first... I have NO training or Certs.! I am also new to the area! I would like to find someone to train with! I am a very fit woman, but still need a routine that will help me pass the physical agility test! I hate sit ups ... actually just need a routine... I am ready! ~Kelly "Dream as though you will live forever! Live as though you will die tomorrow!" ~James Dean |

| Posted 6 months ago Kelly, have you searched through all the "Be a Firefighter" stuff here on the site yet? I am in Texas, so can't really help with Indiana. Welcome to the site though. Jeff D.

| Posted 6 months ago There are several web based courses that you can take that are nationally acreditied for just about anywhere in the U.S. Try fireintexas2.com or trainingdivision.com I know with these 2 schools you do everything online then go there or schd. your hands on with them. | Posted 6 months ago Kelly, seems like your getting a lot of replies from Texas, doesn't help in getting a workout partner. But if you are able to get a partner a workout program called P90x could really help in getting you through the physical agility test. Not sure if your familliar with it but you can go at your own pace and works all areas of the body on conditioning, speed and strength. Us eit here at the station and have noticed a difference. Hope this helps and good luck. |
