What can I say....women just like sleeping with firefighters I guess.  I reckon suspenders are sexier than holsters.  I will say we had a fire a few weeks ago that was fully involved and after 15 minutes we found out the adjacent building was full of TNT.  Illegal ofcorse and our trucks were less than 150 feet of the place.  It is and always will be true that both jobs are dangerous.  But I stand by the fact that a firefighters job is constantly dangerous.  Everytime we go out we know that we are going to go to a place that everyone else is trying to get away from.

I just wonder who got the honor of removing and packaging and destroying that tnt, was it the POLICE bomb squad or the fire fighters so desperately trying to get their asses away from the stuff? HMMMMM?

Unfortunately, I hate to say it, but, it was probably a special team of cops!

I really would like to see both get paid the same. I think that both are equal when it comes to danger, tho they are put into very different situations. Both people and fire are alike, they are unpredictable in certain situations. You never know how fire is going to react, just like you never know how people are going to react. LEs and FFs both go from 0- 100 when the situation arises. Both protect and serve the communities. i dont think that either job is "worse" than the other. FFs need LEs sometimes and LEs need FFs sometimes. We all work together in the face of danger.There is one thing I can agree on and that is both jobs are underpaid.....
