| Posted about 1 year ago Darker colors don't show dirt as much. I have worn the white shirt. I hated it. I prefer navy blue, regardless of rank. The largest room is the room for self improvement |

| Posted about 1 year ago We all run dark navy, except for chiefs. They want us to try out the saftey green/annoying bright neon snot green for shirts, but I don't think they will last, show dirt too easily. They do have the advantage of standing out though. |

| Posted about 1 year ago Due the North Texas heat, we stay away from the Navy......and opted on a gray. They look pretty sharp and don't draw the heat as badly as the Navy. With the red-dirt/clay up here, white is definitely not an option. Ross Caston

| Posted about 1 year ago When I was in the military and working on the airfield, we could wear a red or navy blue t-shirt, the captains wore a light blue button up shirt and of course the chiefs wore white. Everyone in the volunteer department wore a navy blue t-shirt. In the private amublance business, everyone wears white collar, button up shirts with black pocket flaps and black epaulettes. The only distinction is that the medics wear a patch over the left breast pocket and basics don't. |

| Posted about 1 year ago Everyone on our dept wears a navy blue T-Shirt or sweatshirt. The exception is our dress shirt- White for Chief and Navy for everyone else. Local ambulance service (AMR) is white for everyone. I like the grey idea. |

Deputy Chiefs, the Chief of the Department and day crew (Code Enforcement/Fire Prevention) wear white shirts. Training/Safety Officer wears dark Navy uniform. All personnel wear black turnouts regardless of rank. Black helmets for all but the Deputy Chiefs. |

| Posted about 1 month ago Here in Northern Arizona, all of the departments wear Dark Navy Blue for all line personal including the Capt and LT. The Chief wears a Class B shirt with a hard badge on it w/ Navy pants. The only time that the line personel wear the Class B shirt is for Business inspections. Our Chiefs thought on this is "SOMEBODY CALLING FOR A MEDICAL ASSIST ISNT GOING TO CARE IF YOU HAVE SOME BRIGHT SHINNY BADGE ON YOUR CHEST OR NOT. PLUS IF YOU HAVE A STRUCTURE FIRE CALL OR A CAR FIRE CALL YOU HAVE TO TAKE OFF THE CLASS B SHIRT BEFORE YOU PUT ON YOUR BUNKER GEAR COAT. IF NOT YOUR AIR PACK STRAPS GO RIGHT OVER YOUR BADGE." I know that in Phoenix AZ they were a t-shirt and a pair of Navy Blue pants w/ a pair of side zip boots by rocky. Or if the Line personel are wearing shorts they all will be wearing Fire Dex rescue pants w/ a pair of 14" Leather bunker boots. I know that in my Department all of us must be in the same uniform through out the day. I let all of my personal wear the uniform the same way that Phoenix Fire Department does. This is just what I know that we wear in Mohave Couny Arizona. U.S. Army Fire Fighter

| Posted 27 days ago we actually have 2 different colors we wear on certain days. We wear all dark navy and then some days we wear cadet blue. For an example on monday we wear dark navy then on tuesdays we wear cadet blue.... we alternate colors. .... But really why is this posted in Patch & Badge Collecting? "Hell, these are Marines. Men like them held Guadalcanal and took Iwo Jima. Bagdad ain't shit." "Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem." United States Marine Corps |

| Posted 27 days ago Sadly, I'll continue to fuel the one year old mis categorized thread. On ambulance and wheelchair we have to wear white button down shirt, and black pants. We are allowed t owear navy blue Dickies pants though. During winter months we are required to wear a turtle-neck under the white shirt, and in theory if we're wearing the blue, we wear a long sleeve white button down. Most of us do the short sleeve white button down shirt for comfort |

| Posted 21 days ago We live in one of the hottest spots in the nation. Last year we transitioned from "powder blue" to Navy; and the Chief officers gave up their white shirts.
We are all on one teaml and teams wear the same uniform.
Oh, and when it is hot, it is hot. I am in no more discomfort, when it is 120 outside, wearing my Navy Blue, than I was in my White or Powder blue uniform. |
