my qualifications anyone think i have a chance?

Posted 17 days ago SO im currently in the army in a paratrooper unit and im deploying. ill be geeting out of the army in 2012 and in that time im gonna take college courses and want to know if anyone has any suggestions on what type of classes i could take to help me get into firefighting as a career? I also have a G.E.D which i know is no good. When i get my college done and i have the army as a reference with a g.e.d does anyone think i have a chance? |

| Posted 17 days ago take any class that will get you the college credits to be qualified for the department that you want to join. Fire Science just show you how to be a firefigher and has nothing to do with the department that your going to join, most likely, also your going to get even better training in the academy when you go |

| Posted 17 days ago Don't ever say a G.E.D. is no good, 'cause without it, you wouldn't be where you are now! A diploma is looked more highly at in most cases, but, once you graduate from a college course it won't have much bearing on wheather you have a chance or not. Someone with a diploma applying for the same job having the same amount of college may beat you out of a few opportunities, but, don't let that discourage you! You can be whatever you set your mind to be! |
