| Posted 21 days ago Even though not a capt. I try to treat the next guy down with as much respect as I possibly can. I think I have a great relationship with them. I try to empower them with the Knowledge that they have been put in a position that they can handle, give them the authority to take care of what needs to be done and the understanding that I will back them in the decisions they make. When, which is very very seldom, that I disagree with their decision, we will discuss it in private and try to get it done better the next time. Give them what I wished for when I was in their position.
Gee, I hope I'm doing it right Experience is always the best teacher, I just hope its at someone elses expense. |

| Posted 20 days ago I handle him no diferently than I do my Cheif. We have a Lt. that is actually less qualified than some of the probie's, however, an officer is an officer! I will follow every order that he gives unless I know for a fact that it will get someone hurt or arrested. Even if his orders are wrong, it will fall back on him, after all, he is an officer! |

| Posted 8 days ago I try to treat everyone with respect and curtious attitude all the time except when someone is disrespectful then the bad Tom tends to come out lol. |
