FireLink

Hey guys, i'm about to seperate from the miliatary next August.  I am not a Firefighter in the Air Force due to there cut and dry "no color blindness" rule (even though it does not effect me in any way!), which i was not aware of when i signed up.  But i've started taking fire science classes online to hopefully become a Firefighter after i seperate.  Just curious if anyone has any advice for me in obtaining my goal.  I've obviously looked though all the publication's on this site and millions of others about the best path to become a Firefighter.  I guess i'm just looking for any insite, especially with my color blindness, which does not effect me at all (it is very very slight) on acomplishing this.  I will be looking for jobs in California too, which i know is extremely hard to compete for a job in.
