I have one on my fire coat and one I use as a key chain. This tool was issued to various filed personnel related to National Geographic, acheologists and jungle exploration people for evaluation.
After reports back from the field, the knife became available to the public, so the story goes at least.
I have cut seatbelts, carpets during overhaul, a fishing net at the beach to free a drowning victim that had gotten tangled in a net, ropes and prusick. The blade stands up to abuse. Overall, I would say this knife is Firefighter Proof.
