The forest service; Trabuco Ranger district, Ca recommends these boots and none other for the job as a wild land firefighter, they speak for themselves!

Whites boots have over 100 years of history. They require a break in time but after that they are most comfortable and super durable in ten years I have gone through a couple of pairs. They are also totally rebuildable!

If you do Hotshot work they'll only last one season, but send them in and Whites is pretty good about fixing um' up and getting them back to you in a timely manner.

I found the lace to toe design to fit better and to be more comfortable when working in super steep terrain than the original smokejumpers. I get a little more room for my toes and a tighter fit in the ankle.
