Hoffman Smoke Chaser was developed for wildland fire fighting. The 10" Smoke Chaser has a reversed vamp that lessens the amount of abuse the stitching and upper will take from sticks and twigs. A premium 7 oz. oil tanned leather upper is triple stitched with nylon and fire-resistant Kevlar thread, and features solid brass eyes and hooks for extra quality. A new heavy duty heel counter adds support to the boot on steep terrain and provides you with additional ankle support. A heavy leather insole combined with a removable cushion insole adds comfort to the feet. The Vibram lug sole is glued, stitched and screwed on to provide durable traction and wear.
