Use a SKED Stretcher. Stokes are nowhere what a SKED is. My Boss invented the SKED and Bud his friend Manufactures them. you can do 100's of things with SKED that you can't with the stokes

We use the Stokes Basket. Heavy. Cumbersome. Effective.

We have 2 types in SAR and they both are cumbersome but effective. Our latest addition came with a large wheel for transporting the pt out of easier and works well when attached to a horse or mule. The one thing I don't like is a normal size backboard does not sit in it well.
