Ok tool for mopup or occaisional fireline construction, most professional wildland firefighters would rather modify and add a larger shovel head to move more dirt and add weight. Look at the Troop Tool from dragonslayers.com if you want a quality line construction tool.

This is a great tool....obviously depends on the terrain. This is the only wildland tool I carry in my Chief's vehicle. Also most people squad boss and above like it because it is the perfect height to lean on.............

Overhead has got to have something to lean on!!
