ONLY HELMUT IVE WORN NOTHING TO COMPARE IT TO. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THE RACHET SYSTEM ITS EITHER JUST TOO TIGHT OR JUST TOO LOSE. NEVER JUST PERFECT.

Having worked in wildland fire all my adult life and have worn many different helmets..The Bullard is a good helmet..and most prefer the full brim helmet...the ratchet system is a good conept..the only problem I have had with the system is it does not always want to stay in the helmet and has a tendency to pop out of the keepers in the helmet..other wise it is my choice...others on the market do not compare...although I still would rather have my old aluminum helmet back!!

its a good helmet. i like the ball cap style better than the full brim. i have had lots of branches and small tress fall and hit me in the head with this helmet on and never got hurt so it gets the job done.

I have the cap style of this helmet. Saved my hair best with ear neck and face protection!

I like this helmet. Especially if you buy a new one the brackets and liner will not pop out. Once the liner is installed it is very, very, very, hard to get out.
One of the features I like the most is that you can make the helmet sit low on your head or high by adjusting how the helmet connects to the suspension.
