Warm boot in winter. Locks your heel in the sole, and does not slip off. I prefer these boots over station duty boots!

these boots are very light and have better ankle support then any rubber boot out there. they deffanatly are the boot to wear.

after being on a fire all day you will be glad you had these on your foot rather then any other pair.

The Haix is a good boot, I got two pair, both issued at my career dept. The only reason I don't give them 5 Stars is because I also have Warrington Pro's and I think they are a more comfortable boot.

Haix fire boots are by far the most comfortable and dependable boots on the market. My large Metropolitan department in south florida provides these boots to all 1700 members. I would highly reccommend these boots if you are in the market to get rid of the rubber crap we have all had to deal with at some point. Leather is the way to go and Haix is the Caddilac of leather fire boots.

Great boot. my department issued HORRIBLE rubbers and gave the option to buy our own. I couldn't be happier with my decision. The reason I didn't give five stars is that the boots are missing some features found on other boots. such as larger hand holds to slip the boot on and carry my pants around the station. Unfortunately due to the boot construction you cannot re-sole these boots. but for the price, about 200.00-260.00, you CAN'T beat this product. if price is a factor you can go to this site: http://www.haix.com/. There you can find Factory seconds, these are boots that have cosmetic flaws NOT structural flaws. you can cut the asking price in half. the only downside is that your boots may have different leather batches used to build them, and you miss out on the 1 year warranty, which in my opinion isn't all its cracked up to be.

I got a pair of extream fire hunters off of Ebay for $116.00 and they were almost new. And they are great after 8 yrs in rubber boots I'm not going back to them and i'm looking towards haix for a pair of wildland boots. You cant go wrong with a pair of these
