| Description: | The classic CMC Rescue 8 has been refined for even better performance with the current selection of rescue rope sizes from 7/16" to 5/8". Today 5/8" rope is no longer common, and the smaller dimensions of the new design provide greater control. |

What can I say? No bells, no whistles. Only function. Quality equipment.

An outstanding design for a Rescue 8! I prefer the Aluminum 8 over the stainless steel 8, (although I have and use both) because it gives me greater control and functionality. I also work with the Boy and Girl Scouts and for beginners and smaller students, I find it is more user friendly. Durable, well designed, functional, and practical. Another fine CMC product. CMC is Rope Rescue!

On my off time I am a rock climbing instructor and have used this device for many years as a rappel tool as well as belaying device. Great friction. The only down side is that it puts a lot of kinks on the rope, so make sure you have someone helping you untangle the rope!

Worked with it, great tool to "hang around" for a little bit with the fellas. It works, like the steel for rigging, aluminum for short repels.
