If you’re looking for a family getaway, Orlando is a great option. Home to Disney, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld, family fun and entertainment is plentiful. Whether you get your thrills from riding roller coasters or petting sting rays, there are plenty of hotel and theme park packages available now that are budget friendly. If you want to be the coolest kid on the block, ride the new Simpson’s ride at Universal, visit Aquatica (SeaWorld’s Waterpark), or Busch Gardens Africa.

Although Orlando is best known for theme parks, it has a lot more to offer. The best part? All of these things are free! Enjoy the beautiful sights and smells of A World of Orchids, a 22,500-square-foot conservatory. Take a stroll in Big Tree Park and get a photo beside “the Senator,” a bald cypress tree that reaches 118 feet and it approximately 3,500 years old. Visit the eerily picture-perfect town of Celebration on Sunday mornings and catch a free author’s reading while grabbing breakfast at the farmers market. Then head downtown to CityArts Factory, five separate and diverse art galleries showcasing hand blown glass to African sculpture.
