Washington, D.C.

If you haven’t been to our nation’s capital, what are you waiting for? Visiting D.C. is as American as apple pie, so get your comfortable walking shoes on and get ready to see some of the most recognizable tourist attractions the U.S. has to offer. Enjoy the freebies of Washington D.C. first, including the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. When you’re ready to head indoors, start your visit at the Smithsonian: admission is free for all Smithsonian museums. There’s one more freebie that D.C. has to offer that kids will love- the zoo!

Wanna catch a glimpse of the President? Although he and Mrs. Obama are frequently seen out and about town, getting to The White House takes a little more planning- but it’s still free. For groups of 10 people or more, requests can be made to take a tour up to six months in advance.
