Horseshoe Two Wildfire at Nearly 50,000 Acres

TUCSON, Ariz. — An evacuation order has been lifted for residents of three communities near a southeast Arizona wildfire. The Forest Service said Friday that fire crews will stay around Paradise, Cave Creek and the Southwest Research Center to patrol the area for fires.

Meanwhile, the Horseshoe Two fire has risen to nearly 50,000 acres and is 40 percent contained.

Fire crews continue burnout operations which kick up a lot of smoke while burning away dead weeds, brush and trees that feed wildfires.

And, the Forest Service says the Arlene fire along the border has burned 10,610 acres but now is 70 percent contained about 5 miles east of Lochiel.
