Firefighters are important to us all, and Cee Lo is making it known that firefighting professionals are especially important to him. The hit song of the year, “Forget You” has been completely re-recorded in a tribute to firefighters. According to Boombox, Cee Lo credits firefighters for rescuing his mother from a serious car crash. They also report that his mom was a volunteer firefighter.

He became the spokesperson for Duracell’s Power Those Who Protect Us and released the newly recorded song as part of the campaign. Duracell is donating batteries to fire departments when specially marked battery packs are purchased at retailers.
