REHOBOTH — Family, friends and colleagues of a Rehoboth firefighter who died of a heart attack responding to a call are paying their final respects.

The wake for firefighter Ken Marshall Jr. is scheduled Wednesday at the Foley Hathaway Funeral Home in Attleboro.

The funeral is slated Thursday at the Community Covenant Church with a burial at nearby Oak Knoll Cemetery.

Authorities say the 33-year-old Marshall went into cardiac arrest on Thanksgiving Day while responding to a call.

Marshall was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro where he was pronounced dead.

The 15-year volunteer veteran of the department leaves behind a wife and two children. Fire officials said he was a third generation Rehoboth firefighter, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather.
