Fire Chief Dies After ATV Accident

North Franklin Fire District 4 Fire Chief Chet Bauermeister of Basin City, Washington, died Wednesday afternoon while responding to a fire, according to local news reports from the Tri-City Herald.

The Herald reports that Bauermeister died when ATV he was operating flipped over backward on a steep slope.
