Firefighter Discovers Horrific Scene After Shooting Spree

UK – A RETAINED firefighter recounted the moment he came across a victim of the shooting spree.
Councillor David Moore, watch manager with Seascale Fire Service, said his crew yesterday received a call at 11.30am to what they believed to be a road traffic collision in the village.
On arrival, the fire crew found a man who had been shot at close range.
Cllr Moore said the scenes were the worst he had ever seen.
He said: “I have been with the emergency services 30-odd years. I have seen horrific scenes, but nothing like this.
“People were standing in disbelief because this person had travelled through the village, shooting at people.”
The gunman left two dead and one man seriously injured in Seascale after driving through the village firing at residents.
Cllr Moore said the mood in the village was one of shock.
The Copeland borough councillor for Seascale, said: “There are two dead within the village and one seriously injured.
“The chap in his car had been shot at close range with a shotgun.
“It was horrific.”
Cllr Moore said said: “People are standing in disbelief because this person had travelled through the village shooting at people.
“He was followed by an armed response unit – you do not expect that.
“The whole village is in shock.
“People are just walking round in a daze, it is almost disbelief this has happened.”
Cllr Moore said: “The terrible thing is we will never know why this happened.
“People will want to know what happened for closure.”
