“My best advice is for people who live in rural areas to offer information on alternative routes when placing any emergency call,” he said.
Spotloe also is worried with the coming of grass-fire season. “When people burn off their fields and other remote areas, they need to decide if a fire truck can reach the area.”
“These are unusual circumstances and we want to do everything we can. We are trying to think ‘outside the box’ in changing the way we may have to respond to emergencies,” he said.
“Rest assured, we will do the best we can.”
