Did you check with Sheffield Village yet? Because I know a few years ago they had a junior program...there were a few people in my graduating class that were a part of it. And if they got rid of it for some reason, you could at least start on some of the medical aspects of the job. It's basically impossible in our area to get a FFing job with out being at LEAST a basic, most require medic. So, your senior year you should take the EMT-Basic class up at the college and get a head start on that. It's one semester and the instructor is freaking awesome! ;) If you need any help with anything, just let me know. I'm not currently involved with anything fire related....I started going to get the medical stuff out of the way and fell completely in love with that! But I'm hoping to do some volunteer work sometime in the near future.
