feeling the need to vent had a really bad day and is not getting better i get run reports with can't explain things that there is not an excuse for not with the technology we have today if we had to hand write maybe not.My regular job I had a really bad day this makes it worse depatments ask why their reports get sent back before they go to the chief or filed or investigators i have to tell them do it right the first time then you do not have a problem . so stressful sometimes.

    Battling the Beast
Wearing class A uniforms, they sit sometimes for days, laughing, eating, joking...waiting for one sound, a tone that transforms them.
They abandon their armchairs for rubber boots, and their armor heavy and hot. Instead of trading jokes they relay directions, and orders, and shout reports of the status of the ENEMY--- "FLAMES ARE VISIBLE"
Fear and excitement grip the hearts of the freshest rookie to the oldest veteran as they jump into their big red fire trucks, perfect from washing, waxing and checking over and over. They pray that they have made no mistakes. The driver navigates the BRFT(big red fire truck) through the tight city streets that he knows as well as his family, dodging those that get into the way, hoping those he can't avoid will see him first.
They spot the ENEMY from blocks away - the column of smoke rises far above the trees, licking the sky.
They arrive at the scene, and again the battle cry is heard---- "FLAMES ARE VISIBLE"
Smoke fills the air and their lungs as they approach, hoses snaking, crisscrossing, coming to life as they surge the water from the fire hydrants to the fire trucks, that then sends the water to the hoses, turning them into weapons to use against the enemy.
The firefighters force open the front door, and a flash of liquid orange flame rolls out into the air trying to escape its defeat. With swords of water and suits of armor the firefighters advance into the structure, that is fully involved with flame, heat, and smoke.
They battle the BEAST nine or ten against one seemingly great odds.
But the nine or ten will win, emerging from the battlefield victorious as they always do, and eventually, they'll retire to their armchairs, thanking GOD that this time nobody was hit by the enemy "................FIRE................"
