Personal

About Me
Joined the fire service after high school with the Kendallville Fire Department. Had a great time with a lot of great people on that department. Unfortunatly circumstances beyond my control moved me back to the town I grew up in which when I got out I swore I'd never move back. Here I am. After leaving the Kend. Dept. there was just something in my life missing, so I put my application in to the Topeka Fire Dept. Was voted on and here I am. Moved through the ranks and finally ended as the Chief in 2007. Very proud of my Department and the guys on it best bunch of guys I could ask for. Town elected to put a full time Chief on in 08 and the Department chose me to remain in that position. Been very succesful in writing several grants for the department and allowing the department to update a lot of very outdated equipment with no increase demand from taxpayers.
