~Yesterday we got hit by a bad storm, we are still cleaning up from it. We are pretty lucky~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Storm cleanup continues in Ladonia.........................................
Works crews were busy Saturday morning cleaning up the results of severe weather that moved through the area early Friday evening.
A two-man crew from Cable TV of East Alabama repaired damage to the company's lines on Woodland Drive, Alabama Avenue, and Price Road in the Ladonia area.
The damage resulted from three poles being knocked over in the storm. Power and phone service was knocked out as a result of the damage.
Power was restored at 5am Saturday morning.
Nearby, at John's Bread Basket, two men were preparing to drag a large metal canopy, which had covered gas pumps, from the parking lot. It was ripped down by the storm.
The store, at 3911 U.S. Highway 80, in Ladonia, is open and will be able to resume selling gas once the area around the pumps is cleared of debris.
