The skin test is pretty much painless and the bees that you will react to they have a solution that basically wipes the affect away instantly. When they did my test it almost tickled until I reacted and then it was more of an itchy feeling than an actual pain. Even our 12 year old said she wouldn't mind getting test now that she has seen me get my testing done. Hope you'll look into it, if they can remove the danger of getting stung it would be worth it I think.

I have spent years thinkiong that I would always bee allergic to bees so there was no point in seeing an allergist. What could he do becide verify that I am allergic? Right? Actually ~ after ending up in the ER for allergies I was mandated to an allergist and he has iniformed me that after 3-5 years of allergy injections...
I could be allergy free or at the very least not go into anaphalactic shock if I get stung. I started the shots last month, so we'll see. I can not imagine a time that I will not be concerned about bees. WooHoo. However, I thought that I was only allergic to any bee that is yellow and have since found out that I am also allergic to bald faced hornets which are white. Good to know. LOL
Have you ever checked into an allergist or allergy shots to build up your tollerance to them?
