I am giving this to all of my friends and asking that everyone keeps those that are enduring hardships from the ice storms in their prayers. I personally know of 2 people here on firelink that need our prayers and I am sure there are a lot more.

Hi: Yes, I like creative writing a lot but haven't written a novel yet though I have done some short stories in the past--not published though. Just got into historical writing--biographical--while working as a reporter for newspapers. What type of thing are you writing?
I just called C-Span's Washington Journal this morning and they actually aired my call! First time ever. Never got through before. The line was always busy.
I bet you stay busy in your work. I read about those terrible fires in California a while ago. Were you in that?

Hi: I just read your profile. So you are a firefighter. I should have read that earlier.
I am a writer now, and am definitely a reader of literature too. Also a fan of the History Channel.
I wrote a book called "When The River Dreams" about a Mexican-American hero who was a farm worker before joining the Marines. His name was Freddy Gonzalez. I also wrote a story about him for the Los Angeles Times, even though I live in New Mexico. They still published it!
