- Hello, I am Tonia (40) DW to 20 year FF Steve also (40), ~~~***~~~ I live for my family and friends. I am a CNA, Home Health Aide, Phlabotomist, & just short of MA. I'm joinig a CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) until we can find me a FF and EMT class.
~~~**~~~Together Steve & I have 6 wonderful children(Destony 23, Paula 21, Thomas 20, Samuel 17, Alexis 13, and Jacob 11) and 3 Amazing grand kiddo's (Davin3, Noah 2, and Devine 1 and We have a new Grandson! Dominic Jamon born 04162009 9# 1 Oz 21" ;} ***). We Live in upper lower Michigan where Steve is a FF for the Michigan Army National Guard, Vol. for Camp Grayling MTC FD, the City/Township FD, also Certified by US Forrestry Service as a Wild Land Fire Fighter. He's an EMT-B waiting for a phone call to work for EMS. He will be starting his paramedic classes in the fall and hopes to be a flight medic (he's a combat lifesaver in the militay already.) He's also worked Dispatch for Range Control and Wild Land Fire Fighting for Camp Grayling.

This is the school Sam in at.
This is said to be the last class to graduate from this school as the Michigan will not pay it's 25% to keep it open. The Fed. Gov. will pay 75% of annual costs to keep it open, but Michigan will not kick in the other 25%.
Private funding is keeping it open so that this class can finish their courses and not get sent home early without completion

Sam asked me to let ya'll know that he appreciates the letters and cards that he's recieved. Unfortunately he has not had enough time to write back as he's been taking SAT's and GED tests and the whole book camp experience goin on (He's lost 70 pounds and is running a 5 min 45 sec mile and a 9 mile marchs...you got the picture) He sends his thanks and his appologies and is counting down the days till he gets to come home. If there are enough days between coming home and leaving for the Army he'll try to shoot ya'll thank you's.

Sorry it took so long to reply. Double shifts. Halloween was trick or treat at the fire house. 48lbs of candy it was great then off to work. Thanksgiving will be at our house. 13 guests. Can't wait til it is over. How bout you. Big plans?

Everyone feel free to look this school up on line to see what it is about, he's really working hard to accomplish finishing. This is the first time he's been away from the family EVER and he'd like nothing more than to quit and come home, but he knows this is in his best interest.
