Hey, I work a dedicated 24 hr shift at LFD and then I am off for two days. For example I worked 24 hrs yesterday and I am off today and tomorrow and I do not woork at LFD again until monday and the two days that I am off from LFD I can Volunteer at home when I am not busy with other things. Hey Sarah, I work fulltime for LFD and Volunteer for my county department at home. They are two separte departments so when I am at LFD i can not respond to runs for my volunteer deparment. Being a chief has its god days and its not so good days. But I love what I do.Right now we are going thru some life changes if you will. Our funding just increased from 60K a year, to about 300-400K a year. So life is looking up.
