yep i am the only girl on my dept! its kinda tough...cuz some of the guys ( mainly the chief) dont like me on the dept because i am a girl but i pull my weight...which is just as much as all the other guys...and keep my head up lol none of the other guys have a problem with me cuz they haved worked with me but ya its a tough world out there for girls but keep up the good work! lol i would drive an hour to just ride along too i love it that much ha

haha ya its pretty tight. i do all the exterior attacks...from pulling the roof down and opening it up to spraying to hose from the outside and just maintaining it...but i have gone in on a few that werent fully involved its way fun! lol no im not an EMT yet...i have classes for that starting in january. ya its totally worth it and thats good that u are tight with your captain! that will def help you get into the dept. im close with a few of my captains, but some of them i dont see much.

oh i completely LOVE it!!!! i am so glad i got into it. I am only 19 so i cant run inside on fires yet, but sometimes i get to and it is just amazing lol i have been on for about a year and a half now and still love it so much
