well...that's a huge part of it...and the other issue is that being a volunteer department you kinda just have to fish through what they have and find what fits "best"...and most of the previous turnouts were worn by men that are larger than me! I've tried to make due the very best I can for the last 11 months...but now that I have more structure fires under my belt, it's becoming increasingly evident that mine are way too big! I lost my boot on the last two structure fires..but managed to slip my foot back in it real fast...and I wore shorts under my turnouts on the last one and had "sunburn" on my legs for two days from heat going up my pants leg because they were too big and too lose at the bottom! I know money is tight...especially for volunteers...but I can't risk being injured!!

I can't complain. I finally got the go ahead to be fitted for new turnouts and boots! Got that taken care of at lunch...now I have to turn in the measurements so they can be compared to the ones I have and show justification to the board to finally order me some that actually fit!! Why does everything have to be so political??? It felt nice to try on a set that fit right!! And I'm in love with Globe boots!! : ) Wish me luck!

Thanks for the add! just a note, yur pic of the dancing hippo! when yu click on it, it dont open properly, u might have to make a jpeg image instead of the gif image u have there now!
