    Oh, I don't feel left out! Don't even worry about it... (but hey, I'm not saying I'd be proud to have you as an honorary wife) ;) Well, actually, funny thing is... the last few weeks I've been going into the LA area for random testing, etc... I'm not sure if I'll be down their anytime soon. I'll let ya know!

    Well, frankly; yes the academy was very intense. As with most academies, it's a mix of emotional, mental and physical intensity... they pattern it that way, obviously, because those are the same challenges as are met on an emergency scene. Academies vary quite a bit, however, most involve some physical training in addition to a demanding schedule full of almost unachievable challenges... in all however, it was a GREAT experience!
    Our academy was actually the first VVC academy in many, many years, that did not have at least one girl. Girls or no girls, everyone in each squad has to earn the trust and respect of his/her brothers and sisters... everyone deserves to know that you will never give up on each other. This shouldn't be a huge issue for you.

    Well, in the inspection during academy, they would check for anything in the pockets... Pretty much anything more than an ID card was considered push-ups. Period. (Including lint). Back home, I'm assuming means L.A.? What's your friend's name?
