Personal

About Me: I was forced into medical retirement about 2 years ago. I served as Assistant Chief for a small, rural fire department in North Central Texas for almost 15 years. During that time I became an EMT, served on the county emergency management team, RIT, search and rescue, swift water rescue team, and dive team. The thing that finally forced my hand into retiring was the 17 suicides in a three month period. Being a volunteer department, you never know who is going to show for a call. Most of these 17 suicides I ran alone. It was the first hanging I ever worked and the very first female involved GSW. Of course, a bad back and two bum knees didn't help the situation any at all! Being a father of two beautiful daughters and seeing all these kids the same age as mine attempting suicide just finally got to me. I had a great career and many wonderful memories. I have seen and done things that most paid career fire fighters have never seen and never will. If I didn't do CPR at least once a week we were in a slump. I am also the founder of Oklahoma Paranormal and Historical Research. I have been involved with the paranormal for about 6 years now (officially). This is a little hobby that is fun, entertaining and educational. I am a history nut. I retain a lot of useless information (useless to most!) about the history of any given area that I have researched. I like to know what I am getting into before I get there-just like responding to a fire call!
