We helped deal with the pay issues...man do I remember that....The pay is substandard and needs to be improved along with the benefits..They get no hazard pay which is going to be changed..The state sends them out on federal fires and makes alot of money off the guys and pays them squat!!...We have a networking site for NC wildland firefighters...if you click one of our banners it will take you to our main networking site..and on the lefthand side there is a link for the NC site!!

I wish you and your brother the best of luck...If he is working for NC he is gonna need it..lol...This association has many issues with the state on how they treat there firefighters....hopefully with sleasly leaving we can get something done..
