    Hey Chris, to answer your question there is some good Volunteer departments around lexington and most of them will provide you the training you need and it is a good way to get your foot in the door in the fire service. Once you get your foot into a department there is several avenues you can take in the fire service to your liking (Fire Supreesion, Ems, Rescue, Hazmat and so on). I hope this helps some and if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.
