That is very true and I always tell myself not to forget where i came from. I remember starting off trying to get my first officer position as Lt. and there was certain officers I had respect for and some that I did not but I would still follow orders that where given to me and tried to do my job to the best of my ability.

Your right, just don't get discourage and I always tell my guys to never quit training and always keep learning every chance you get. I believe that you can never know everyting when it comes to being a firefighter or in the EMS field. Don't worry brother u will make and sounds like others already put their trust in you.

That is right. As long as you descisions can be defended then no one can fault you. Good decision making is what it takes to make a great officer.

I believe u made the right decision. I believe that is what it takes to make a good firefighter. I would be honored to work a fire right beside you.

Sounds like u all did everything right. I have those gut feelings too sometimes. Sounds like you all got in the action though. I have found that overhaul can sometimes by a challange in itself.

Our normal high response is for buildings over 4 stories tall. We have one building that is 33 stories and they are in the process of building one that is 40 stories. Most are between 6 to 12 stories.
