I would pick Florida! California is broke and who knows what the future holds. Best weather is Florida but you still need to decide between earthquakes or hurricanes. I would choose the hurricane. You can see it coming and California is due for a big one (Quake)! I was in the North Ridge Quake 7.2 years ago and it was a mess for a while. I would hate to be stuck in the larger cities again..it was not fun. Hmmm...Oh a brighter note, fishing is better in Florida, water is warmer, So Cal people are mostly plastic...Maybe I should move to Florida the way I'm talking!

all is good on my end just watchin snow fall here as well. im tired of it already makes workin the late shift at the plant suck .man let me tell ya we were busy yesterday with trees down we had 8 calls in a row non stop .

well thanks for the complement! BTW we got the horses out fast by training them and keeping them well taken care of just like we did us...lol. About the test be sure to check with CFD to see if they are going to have a practice test or a group study day prior to test day. You'll do just fine! No worries.

YOU CAN DO IT! You'll have plenty of time to shed those extra pounds from being cooped up over the winter. Just keep in mind, bigger guys than you do it and so can you. I'm learning something new... being a firefighter isn't a job, it's a way of life and a brotherhood you can't imagine until you get in it completely. I know I can be five states away and have a problem and all I have to do is get to the nearest fire department for whatever help I need. Just as we would do for any of our brothers who walk through our doors. Good luck to you!

Well, after a day of several wrecks / rollovers. You get some ice and most of these Okies forget how to drive. And not to mention the " I have four wheel drive" group. They dont realize it doesnt matter how many wheel drive you have You Cant Stop On Ice. All is quiet so far tonight. Stay safe

the civil test I took about 100 years ago in Dallas had questions like if gear (A) is turning this way at x revolutions which way and how fast is gear (E) turning. There were a bunch of math questions. There were also IQ test questions like they showed you 4 squares with patterns in them and ask you which one doesn't fit. What we take here in Indiana is much more fire related. Like ff I/II questions so it's a guess. They should have practice or study days. Check for those.
