I know what you mean about the coughing and sore throat spell. I have had it for weeks and cant get rid of it. You should see the pics i posted of our fire yesterdat at the local flower shop. The weather is cold now and isnt to warm up till this weekend

Did you hear about the plane crash in Buffalo? SCARY stuff. That's only about 45 - 50 miles away from me,
I haven't heard from Darien Lake yet. It's a Six Flags park as well. I worked there when I was younger in the food service part. If I get in there, at least I won't smell like fried food this time! That was the worst part of the job back then.
Well, I have some stuff to do for the FD. They decided at the last minute to put on a banquet so I have a month to get everything in line. I'll be bald from pulling out all my hair here soon !!

Ahhh...The dredded job search. Jobs are few and far between here too. I just applied to Darien Lake (theme park in out area) as an EMT. Waiting for a response. It's minimum wage from what I hear but it's the experience I will gain as an EMT that I am looking for. There's only 3 ambulance services around here that are paid for and 2 of them are 50 miles away. The other is our neighboring FD but to join them as paid you have to go through the fire academy. My old bones won't take that. I wish I would have joined 10 years ago and could have made a career of this all. I've been in the ladies aux for 12-13 years but never thought I would enjoy being in the dept. But it has turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life.

ha damnn 10 years? thats harsh. right now im really not sure theres sooo much i wanna do or atleast try i just wanna take a whole bunch of courses right now like i wanna take a writing course and a law course stuff like that i bounce around

ooo well here u have to go apply to take the fdny test and then if u pass i think u start training but im not sure if u get paid for it im pretty sure when my uncle joined he didnt but i could be wrong, i happy with just bein volunteer for now tho i get free college which is always good, and i wasnt sure what else to join lol
