  After leaving the army I came here to go to school. I went to school for animation and after sitting on my ass at a computer for 3 years in college I've decided that isn't what I want to do for the rest of my life. I finished school a month ago with a bachelors. Now I'm really wanting to get into the fire department and do some freelance work in my degree on the side.

  Georgia isn't a bad place really. I hate this unemployment deal we are going through right now. I've been out of work for a week now and it's driving me up the wall. Apparently GA is leading the country in unemployment right now. Amazing considering how many huge corporations are in Atlanta.

  I'm trying to get my EMT certification do boost my chances on getting in the department. Hopefully I won't have to before I get a call. I know once I'm in I will do whatever training I can.

  I hear that. I'm from Indiana, joined the army at 17 been all over the world and ended up here for college. Finished that and want to join the fire fighter league.
