  Hey stranger! Yes, as far as I know most all the fires are out now. There have been a lot of them. It's been a really hot September, we set a record high yesterday of 89 degrees which is warm for late September. Where's my snow??? How are things going with you?

  Hi Eddy, so I missed that post! That's a nice tribute. Yes, the Boulder fire I can get to with a 10 minute drive from the house. The winds shift direction and so does the smoke. It's gone more west now so it's not quite as bad here. There sure have been a lot of structures/homes taken out by it though. Sad that some were firefighters homes that burned while they were trying to save the homes of other people. Take care!

  May get to go home tomorrow where ever that is! LOL I just think I am going to a hotel for about a week with home health and cardio rehab.Hell I will also have cleanning service at the hotel now I just need delivery for food!! Up walked about 600 feet today will try for another 150 here shortly. I keep thinking 1 foot infront of the other and shortley it will be back to my miles. I just keep thinking fire calls again I know thats bad I really need to recovery but its less painful and easier to save soneone else's life than it is our own! Remember that all my brothers and sisters out there. Take care of yourself so you can do the job that we all love so much!!

  Hey, not sure how you found me, but kind of glad. I am new to Fire Link and not really sure how to navigate it. Anyway, I am a recent College Graduate and struggling finding a job in this economy and thinking about pursuing a firefighting career. Now I am just trying to network, and gain advice about the situation. I been thinking military approach or find something around the St. Louis area. Any advice, or contacts you can help me out with?
