  My name is Chad VanJahnke. I am a volunteer PA EMT-B with the Delaware township ambulance core. I also work 3rd shift in NJ running a BLS ambulance. I'm working on a community service project for my college and home town of Dingmans Ferry Pa. I am going to school for my Paramedic license. In class we all were given a challenge to go out into the community and educate the public about EMS and CPR with an AED. I went to my church / child's preschool and asked if I could give a free class about the new American Heart Guidelines for CPR. When I asked, I was informed that the church did not have an AED. However they did show a great interest in learning the new information from the A.H.A.. I talked with the directer and agreed to set up a date for the spring. I now am looking for funding to purchase an AED for the church and any other organization that needs one. I was looking into one of the grant on grants.gov. I found one that sounded good CFDA Number: 93.259: Rural Access to Emergency Devices Grant. I am only looking for one or two AEDs and the application reads for a large organization to apply. Any help would be great. If anyone knows of grants to apply for funding send an email to cav8099@gmail.com. Thank you all for the help with this community service project.

  Hey Trouble,
  My christmass and new years werent all that great but I'm alive and well so at lease I have that to be greatful for. I've missed hear from you its been a long time. Hope all is well with you and your family. Since we last talked I've joined the K-9 team at my fire dept. ..... we do search and rescue and also help out the county and surrounding counties with criminal searches. Also I am transfering from my current postion as Public safety officer in Winston Salem, NC to a public safety officer postion in Kernersville, NC I also should be getting promoted with the transfer.   Hi ! Sorry I didn't answer you sooner. I don't get on this page much anymore. ( A lot going on in my life...) I went back to college and between that, taking care of my Dad and becoming EMS Capt for our company I have been pretty busy !   Well not much going on in mn right know except for some cold weather :). But also sorry it's been awhile since i've been on and droped in just alot has been going on. But alot of good things as well right know half way done with my fire science degree and hopefully starting paramedic training in January. And also kind of taking a break from the dept as well so i can work on the other two items. But also wanted to wish you a HAPPY THANKSGIVING AND HOLIDAYS TO YOU as well. ttyl Gary

  Hey Eddie! Yes, things are going fine at work, just busy. It's snowing like crazy in the mountains!! They opened the 1st sky resort yesterday! I can't wait for it to come down here! I bought myself some new "hoodie" sweatshirts too so I'm ready for it! Have a nice week and please stay safe!
