Today marks the 19th Anniversary of the South Canyon Fire.
The South Canyon Fire was a wildfire that took the lives of 14 wildland firefighters on Storm King Mountain, near Glenwood Springs, Colorado on July 6th, 1994. It is often also known as the "Storm King" fire.
"In storm and cloud and wind and sky, in heart and mind and hand and eye, A bond still binds too strong to tell, All those who fly with those who fell." RIP the 14 who lost their lives at the South Canyon Fire 6 July 1994.
My thoughts and prayers go out to their families and friends.
