Hi, I was gone for a period of time but I'm back with some big changes since I was here last. First change was the purchase of two Pierce Velocity pumpers, second change was the retirement of our commissioner and the hire of a new one, third, we changed our name from the Twp of Spring Vol Fire Dept to Twp of Spring Fire Rescue Service, fourth (and the hits keep coming) the lease of two officers vehicles. All the changes were welcomed by most of the membership and we are looking for a brighter future ahead. Check us out at www.tsvfd.com

My name is Chad . I am a volunteer PA EMT-B with the Delaware township ambulance core. I also work 3rd shift in NJ running a BLS ambulance. I'm working on a community service project for my college and home town of Dingmans Ferry Pa. I am going to school for my Paramedic license. In class we all were given a challenge to go out into the community and educate the public about EMS and CPR with an AED. I went to my church / child's preschool and asked if I could give a free class about the new American Heart Guidelines for CPR. When I asked, I was informed that the church did not have an AED. However they did show a great interest in learning the new information from the A.H.A.. I talked with the directer and agreed to set up a date for the spring. I now am looking for funding to purchase an AED for the church and any other organization that needs one. I was looking into one of the grant on grants.gov. I found one that sounded good CFDA Number: 93.259: Rural Access to Emergency Devices Grant. I am only looking for one or two AEDs and the application reads for a large organization to apply. Any help would be great. If anyone knows of grants to apply for funding send an email to cav8099@gmail.com. Thank you all for the help with this community service project.

Hi there, how have you been lately i havent been on here much lately now a days but seems like the site is dieing down somewhat but anyways mabe i'll inform you that i went through with taking our citys fire civil service entry exam it constisted of 1100 test takers which more was expected to take it but o well betters our chances lol it was one of the easiest test ever and now im just waiting on a over due physical test that should of been done at the end of sept. but who knows when that will be now. well hope all is good, Take care
