- About Me
- Well its been about 6 months since I joined FireLinks. I have to say that I have met so many people and made some great friends on here. Too bad you all aren't a little closer to stop by for a beer in the garage (Man Cave). while on your 6. I am a single Dad for the 2 best kids ever. Jake and Luke are their names. I make Barbecue Sauce for a bunch of companies and do Handy-Man work to remain in my kids lives. I can't really do 70+ hours a week as a Hotel/Resort Chef , so a tough choice was made. No Regrets! I spent 15 years as Executive Sous chef for a 400 room hotel/resort here in Tucson. My job was to oversee 4 kitchens, 72 employees, with a huge Banquet and Catering Department. Some of you may have had my Barbecue sauces over the years as I have been making them since 1999. I was a chef for NASCAR for a little while, and still love being around the races. You may have seen my sauces on the Food Network, NBC Today Show or in Bon Appetite Magazine. My "hot" Barbecue sauce won "1st place in Fiery-Foods & BBQ Magazine in 2005. The only year I ever entered. I think FireFighters are awesome and really cool people, at least every single one I have met makes me feel that way. My first love is my kids and right behind them is flying. I started FireFightersBBQ.com as a way to give back to America's Bravest. Through donations for Fund Raisers as door prizes and a community website ( http://www.FireFightersBBQ.com ) I've really gotten into what FireFighters do and the people that fill those boots. My hat is off to all of you and I am humbled by all your sacrifices. My site has Contests, Fun stuff, and things that bring a tear to your eye in a good way. Please ask me anything you want to know and thanks to all that call me their friend. Stay low, Stay Safe and be sure to make going home each day a priority-

Tucson, were you born and raised there? Waaaay back in 1969-70 I was stationed there in the bone yard. Not part of any sort of response team but love living there. But married to a St. Louis girl and she hated it so I came back here. Think then there was maybe 100,000 people in the valley. bet there is more now.
