  Hello, How have you been?

  I've recently (last week) completed my MFR/EMR class and waiting for NREMT so I'm "Officially" going from supportive spouse to active member in EMS. I'm so excited!

  I joined the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) last November. In our rural area they have certified me to perform Traffic Control, change out FF airpacks and refill them (and monitor them so that FF like my dear hubby only get to go inside for 3 airpacks and then have to sit out and rehydrate and be evealuated by a medic when they don't appear well or have exceeded their air pack limit. My sweet Steve will not being going back for his 4th and 5th air packs anymore) , perform Advanced Field Operations and Urban Search and Rescue, and Wild Land search and Rescue, set up LZ's, refil oxygen tanks, Pipeline Emergencies response and damage Prevention.

  I've missed our cribbing class, but will be caught up to speed ASAP. Not sure what our next class is on the 6th, but May 13 we're being trained as Weather Spotters.

  Sorry I just can hardly stand the wait or contain my excitement and wanted to share part of why I've not been here lately.

  Thanks for the Tags n comment .. its been quiet out here.. had a couple real good structure fires and an MVA with Fatality .. but it has since been quiet..

  Hi Lady, Hope all is well with you. It's been slow here, hope I just didn't put my foot in my mouth. LOL My son has finally finished his National Registery for his EMT top of his class and he is testing out of FF 1 in 3 weeks. He just applied for his first professional FF job for 2 different departments. So even with not being busy with the FD we have been in books 24/7. Take care and have a great rest of the week.
