    good luck in your federal fire career. my advise would be to learn everything and go to as many schools a spossible. get all your dod certs done and if you want to progress / promote, you will have to travel around. keep looking for job opening that you are qualified for and apply. get yourself known in the dod fire service. YEA PENS!!!

    Memphis has gone to accepting only EMT's. But being a Paramedic is a bonus and is where the job will be going next. As it is, all recruits will be required to obtain Paramedic status after a period of employment. You are past 21 so that is no problem. If you fill out an application through the city of memphis personnel office, they will send out mail to all, when a testing period begins. Good luck whichever direction you take.

Seems like I have known you forever. : ) P.S. Many moons ago, on a church youth trip, I spent a week in Salina at a church camp.
